New York City is known for their amazing restaurants that people from across the world come to try. I have lived in New York my whole life and still have not tried all the famous restaurants in this food filled city, but here are some of my absolute favorites that I have checked off my list!
Anassa Taverna
This has been a favorite in my family because the greek food is truly amazing and so authentic. Besides the food, the restaurant itself is stunning from the white brick on the walls to the large windows that surround the restaurant to see the action of the city as you enjoy your meal. Everything on the menu is fantastic, but my favorite entrees I always order when I dine here is the Red Snapper, Beef Burger, Organic Salmon, Lobster Spaghetti, and finally the Seafood Yiouvetsi. Also, if you are looking to begin your meal with a delicious appetizer, you have to try the octopus and Anassa Chips, which are fried zucchini slices that come with a side of Tzatziki sauce.

If you are a true foodie looking for a place to post pictures of your food on Instagram, this is the place to go. I first learned about this restaurant from my Instagram feed which was filled with pictures of mouthwatering food and I new I had to take a trip to the city. It is difficult to get a reservation, especially during the summer, but it is totally worth it. The restaurant has a retro and urban aesthetic which matches the trendy vibes of the city. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, every table is always taken which I consider a great thing in the restaurant business. Let's begin with my favorite appetizers which consist of the Shishito Peppers and the Spicy Salmon Tartare. For entrees, you must try the famous Smith Burger which comes with their incredible fries. If I am not getting the burger, I love the creamy Mac and Cheese!

If you have a broad palate like me and is willing to always try new foods, this restaurant is perfect for you. This high end Japanese restaurant is known for their traditional Japanese dishes. The sushi is so fresh and is definitely at the top of my list. You will be tempted to try everything on the menu, but that might be a little pricy. Here are some of my top choices: the sake marinated chicken wings, the spicy tuna roll with green chili, spicy mayo and tobiko, as well as the black cod marinated in saikyo miso with wasabi citrus sauce.

4. Bryant Park Grill
Bryant Park is one of my favorite locations in the city and the restaurant within the park is a must if you are looking for a place to eat. This restaurant is my favorite place to have nice dinner outside during the summer because the park is filled with people chatting, eating, and if you are lucky to book a reservation on a specific day, you can watch a live concert as you eat. There is also a beautiful rooftop where you can enjoy your dinner while having a view of the whole park. Some of my favorite entrees include the Grilled Maple Glazed Atlantic Salmon, Braised Beef Short Rib, and the Moroccan Lemon Chicken.

5. Morimoto
I am a little picky with my sushi in the sense that it needs to be very fresh. Morimoto never disappoints and always makes the perfect sushi roll. All of their sushi is delicious, along with their fresh oysters and their delicious, crispy tempura that I never forget to order for an appetizer. Do not forget to order dessert because you will truly miss the opportunity to try their incredible desserts that look like an intricate piece of artwork.
